TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The buyer is responsible for providing the correct address for the delivery of oil including house number, road or street name, post code and phone number.
2. The buyer is responsible for checking the correct delivery address details are entered on the website as a delivery made to an incorrectly provided address will not be the responsibility of the seller.
3. The buyer is responsible for providing safe storage of the oil delivered.
4. The buyer’s oil storage tank must be capable of safely holding the full quantity of oil ordered including leaving a safe amount of ullage to prevent overflow of oil during delivery, or after delivery caused by any expansion of oil in the tank.
5. If the buyer’s oil storage tank does not hold the full amount of oil ordered by the buyer or their agent, the buyer indemnifies the seller against all damage caused and any costs, expenses or claims incurred as a result of the tank being overflowed or oil spillage caused by the expansion of the oil after the delivery.
6. For insurance reasons, we are unable to do deliveries where the hose must go through the house.
7. If the buyer or their agent orders more oil than the buyer’s tank has space to hold the seller can adjust the price of the oil delivered (pence per litre of oil and any tax due) to a similar quantity of oil shown on the website on the date of purchase. An overpayment by the buyer can be refunded upon request or it can held by the seller on the buyer’s account as a credit until the buyer’s next purchase. It can then be deducted from the account with the agreement of the seller. Any overpayment by the buyer will be forfeited by the buyer if there are no further purchases by the buyer up to 12 months from the overpayment date.
8. The buyer will accept the seller’s measurement of supplied products as being correct.
9. If the delivery vehicle is delayed by more than 10 minutes due to the buyer not having safe access to the storage tank or not having tanks/gates unlocked and thus delaying the delivery driver the seller reserves the right to charge the buyer a fee for any delay caused to the delivery.
10. Gas oil and kerosene must not be used for any purpose other than what is permitted by HMRC.
11. Title of the goods delivered does not change hands from the seller to the buyer until full payment (including taxes) is received by the seller.
